ENTERING THE CLUB
What must I show when entering the club?
If you are a member you must show your current membership card. If you are a visitor you must show a current drivers licence or age card showing current address and date of birth and sign into the club through the terminals at reception.
What is the 5km radius?
Riverstone-Schofields Memorial Club is a Registered Club and operates under the Registered Clubs Act. This requires all patrons who reside within a 5km radius of the club to become a member if wishing to use the club facilities. If you live within the 5km radius but choose not to become a member, you must be in the presence of a Riverstone-Schofields Memorial Club member when signing in and utilising our facilities.
How do I know if I live within 5kms of the club?
A map is provided at reception to determine this.
I live inside the 5km area, do I need to become a member?
Yes, everyone over 18 years living within the 5km radius is required to become a member to enter the club. However the following exceptions apply:
1. You are a full member of another RSL/Service Club that is registered under the Registered Clubs Act,
2. You are a guest of a Riverstone-Schofields Memorial Club member and have been signed in by that member.
Can a person who is over 18 years enter with a friend who is under 18 years?
No, an underage person can only enter the club whilst being accompanied by a parent/guardian.
REGULATIONS
Are hats permitted to be worn in the club?
Under most circumstances hats/caps must be removed before entering the club. Ladies dress hats may be worn. An exception is also given to dress hats worn on Melbourne Cup day only for men and women. Special circumstances are at management discretion.
Are thongs permitted to be worn in the club?
Yes, you are permitted to wear thongs in the club.
Where can I smoke?
There are three separate outdoor areas where smoking is permitted. We do not allow smoking near the children’s playground.
MEMBERSHIP
When are membership renewals?
Renewals commence 1st November each year. If you have 5 year membership please visit the club to receive your new card.
What happens if I lose or damage my membership card?
If you have lost your membership card inside the club, it will be handed in and filed at Reception. If you have lost or damaged your card elsewhere, visit reception and have a new card printed for $1.00
When do my bonus points expire?
Bonus points expire the close of business 31st December each year. We advise all members to ensure they redeem all points before this date or risk losing them. An exception applies to Platinum and Gold level members.
How do I become a member?
To become a member, you need to fill out an application form and provide appropriate ID. Reception will take your photo and process your application. You will be issued a membership card on the spot.
CHILDREN
Are children welcome at the club?
Children under the age of 18 are welcome, provided they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Please note:
- Children must be supervised at all times while on the premises.
- Entry into restricted areas of the club is not permitted.
- Children are not allowed to approach or be served at any bar.
What areas are children allowed in?
Children are permitted to enter the following designated areas:
- The outdoor terrace (non-smoking section)
- The auditorium
- The bistro
What times are children permitted to stay in the club till?
Children are welcome on the premises every day of the week until 9:00 PM. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding
FACILITIES
Can I purchase takeaway beverages from the bar?
Yes, takeaway beverages may be purchased from the bar.
Please note the following departure requirements:
- On Monday, Tuesday, and Sunday, guests must vacate the premises by 9:00 PM.
- On Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, departure is required by 10:00 PM.
Who can ride the courtesy bus?
Only members can ride the courtesy bus who are travelling within the 5km radius of the club. This is a free service. Please book at reception for either pick up or drop off.
How do I connect to free wifi at your venue?
Check your settings on your device and make sure wifi is ON. Select the ‘PublicWifi’ network and you will be prompted for a password. The password is
‘freewifi’ – all lower case. You will only need to enter this password once as when you are within a certain radius of the club it will automatically connect (as long as your wifi is ON).
