Paula McMahon
Paula McMahon began her adventures in music like most in the school choir and later studying classical violin. But hearing Rock and Roll and later Bob Dylan and his contemporaries diverted her off to the British Folk and Blues revival. A tour opening for Paul Simon before the Simon Garfunkel era among others. She then formed cult folk rock band “Coppermill” and played the festivals and clubs all over UK and Europe
She then moved on to Blues and Rock and Roll her first love and played guitar and back up vocals with Freddie Fingers Lee Screaming Lord Sutch. Did fill in spots with Matchbox. Paula was founder member on Lead Guitar with Greggi G and The Crazy Gang.
Moving to Australia and intending to retire from performance. The bug bit again and so formed a Rock and Roll band Red Corvette playing clubs up and down the east coast. Supporting Eric Burdon and The Animals. The band split up when members of the band went
off to play Frankie a Man For All Seasons.
Paula then began working with Rick Lum from Hush and others who had also been members of Hush.
Paula has just released her first album in Australia and teamed up with one of Australia’s fines Blues Band, Finn The album features contributions from members of Rose Tattoo as well as Finn. Paula has now teamed up with Finn pro outfit who have toured Australia Europe and USA as a full working relationship You won’t want to remain in your seat when this outfit rocks.
